I love having flowers in the house, they can brighten a room and lift your mood.

These beautiful fabric flowers are easy to make, provide colour all year round, they won't wilt and die but they may need the occasional hoovering!

I know it looks tricky but you just need to take your time and don't rush the sewing.

Three notepads covered with fabric journal covers, one with rabbits, one with sunflowers and the last with bright stars.

How to Make a Fabric Journal Cover

I have a number of notebooks all for different things, hand written recipes that have been handed down by family members (my Grandads spring onion salad), sewing and tutorial ideas, my art journal, a couple for work, a diary to keep me organised (Lol!!) things I need to remember that you aren't supposed to write down (password etc.. don't judge, we all do it).

Instead of having several notebooks that are indistinguishable from each other I decided to personalise them and in doing so I am using up my stash of buttons and ribbons, although I'd have to make a lot more to reduce the amount to make any noticeable difference.

I chose rabbit fabric as we have a herd of various fluffy animals in the garden that my partner refers to as "The petting zoo".

These also make great gifts, Mother's Day, Birthdays, Easter, Just Because you are Lovely...

How to Make an Art Caddy Storage Bag

How to Make an Art Caddy Storage Bag

This lined caddy can be used to hold a number of lovely things, I made them for my grandchildren to contain their numerous art supplies, drawing pads etc. It saves their tears when their "favourite crayons" are contained and not left on the floor to be stood on or go up the hoover when they visit...

This might look daunting and complicated but don't be put off by the structure of this project. It is made using a fat quarter bundle, has three layers and is a series of rectangles and squares and as such it doesn't need a pattern, you just need to be able to cut accurately. I labelled the pieces to make it easier to refer to as there is an outside and an inside of the caddy, how many pockets and where you put them is up to you.... I went pocket crazy...

The hardest part for me was trying to working out which fabric I was using for each section... it's all so colourful!

Just take one section at a time and don't rush it. Ready?
