Viscose twill is a variation of viscose woven in a subtle twill structure, giving it slightly more body and durability while maintaining its signature drape. It feels smooth and fluid but with a touch more weight and substance.

If you want your handmade piece to flow beautifully while still feeling a little more structured, viscose twill is an excellent choice.

Why Choose Viscose Twill?

• Soft with elegant drape
• Slightly heavier than standard viscose
• Smooth surface with subtle texture
• Ideal balance of movement and structure

Perfect For

✔ Shirt dresses
✔ Wrap dresses
✔ Tailored-style blouses
✔ Wide leg trousers
✔ Midi skirts
✔ Jumpsuits

Viscose twill is ideal for garments that need fluidity but benefit from a little more weight and opacity.

Sewing Notes

Viscose twill drapes beautifully but can shift when cutting.

• Cut on a flat surface with plenty of support
• Use a fine sharp needle
• Staystitch curved edges
• Press gently to maintain the finish

It’s a fantastic fabric for sewists who want drape with a slightly more substantial feel.

The Finish You’re After

If you’re looking for fluid movement with added confidence and coverage, viscose twill delivers elegance with a little more structure.
