Freezer paper is a plastic coated paper originally used for wrapping food for the freezer but now also commonly used by crafters to assist with cutting out templates for quilting. By ironing the plastic side to fabric, the fabric can be stabilised which also allows it to be passed through a printer so designs can be printed directly onto the fabric from a home printer.
